Croatian Science Foundation’s participation in FP7 ERA-NET project ASPERA-2

The main objective of the ASPERA (AStroParticle ERAnet) European network is to coordinate the national activities and funding programmes in the field of astroparticle physics research.
ASPERA started in 2006 and has been extended for another three years in 2009. ASPERA-2 (“Deepening and Broadening Astroparticle Physics European Coordination”) is funded by the European Commission within the ERA-NET scheme under the 7th Framework Programme with about 2.4 Million Euros over a three years period.
The main achievements of ASPERA are the development of the European strategy for astroparticle physics and the preparation of a roadmap for this research field. ASPERA has significant influence on policy development of large European research infrastructures and investment plans of new research infrastructures.
The Croatian Science Foundation accessed ASPERA Network as an associate in February 2009 and became partner on FP7 ERA-NET ASPERA-2 project in July 2009. The project ASPERA-2 had its final conference in Brussels in November and officially finished in December 2012.
